Job Creation Tax Credit Becomes Law

Governor O'Malley Thursday signed into law the Job Creation Tax Credit, for which Sam travelled to Annapolis to lobby.  Under the new law, Maryland businesses may receive a $5,000 tax credit for hiring an unemployed worker.  Testifying before the House of Delegates Ways & Means Committee in February, Sam had encourage the Committee to forward the bill swiftly so that Maryland's small businesses could take advantage of the credit while creating jobs amid the worst unemployment rate in a generation.
